Sublima Gracia
Sublima Gracia is located in the region of Lloma Blanca, near the Juan Wesley and Kathleen Baskin neighborhoods. The church was built in 2009 by teams from Proyecto Abrigo. We give thanks to God for the support of teams from Woodlands UMC (Houston, TX), Wesley Chapel UMC (Homer, LA), First UMC Homer (LA), and First Baptist Church Haynesville (LA).
Each Sunday morning there are approximately 70 members from the local community who come to worship at Sublima Gracia. The congregation is led by Pastor Jose Luis Garcia, one of the ministers who previously served at Nuevo Pacto in Tierra Nueva. It is a vibrant community full of life and filled with the Spirit of God!
Healthy Meals Ministry
In 2018, we began a new ministry to provide healthy well-balanced meals to the children in the community. Currently dinner is provided, at Sublime Gracias, for between 40 and 60 children (along with a few adults) every Saturday evening. The goal is to be able to offer a healthy meal 4-5 days per week.
